We’re back with more holiday brunch entertaining tips! You can catch my overnight french toast here. Today I’m chatting about styling the table with ease on the most eventful day of the year. Setting the table is one of my favorite things because it reminds me of the guests about to arrive and the joy soon to experience. My friends and family love it when I set the table but it all honesty I get it from my mamma… no seriously, my mom has always set the table with class and care. You’ve heard my top entertaining pieces a time or two and Within The Grove is sharing some fantastic tips on her site too, so I’m keeping it on the sentimental side today.
Get my how to style the table with love for Christmas brunch below.
There’s plenty of guides on where to put the fork and how to create a centerpiece (which I love) but I’m tossing out a new guide: Styling the table with love
- Sing the Christmas songs, don’t just play them. I’m all about the holiday tunes playing non-stop and I’m also all about singing my heart out. Instead of playing the music, feel it and sing it when you set the table for a delicious Christmas brunch.
- Think of your favorite thing about each guest. When your putting down the name tag or custom music title as we did, think of what you adore most about that family member or friend. I guarantee you’ll smile and you will hug that guest a bit tighter than usual when they arrive.
- Give the table a sweet moment, pretty photo and prayer. Soak in the table you’ve created with love and the people who will soon grace it by pausing a moment, snapping a photo and saying a prayer of thanks. Share with purpose, so go ahead and Instagram that stunning table setting you’ve styled and add a caption of love and gratitude.
There are a handful of ways to add more love to your table, but these 3 and strong and my musts. Setting the place setting, centerpiece and napkins with care this Christmas morning, friends.
Next week we wrap up our Christmas brunch blog series with home decor tips, gift wrapping and hosting with ease.
