Happy 4th of July, friends! Last night I was in bed by 8pm (#pregnancy) but the neighborhood fireworks woke me at 11pm. Maybe tonight I’ll get more into the holiday spirit and not attempt to sleep through. Fireworks are crazy pretty, so tonight I’ll try to hang. wink
We kicked off our holiday weekend with french toast. Every three day weekend should start with a filling breakfast or brunch. While I heart all breakfast foods I’m not a huge syrup fan and I tend to use alternatives or simply limit my syrup consumption. Today I’m sharing a simple, crazy simple 2 ingredient only, glaze that will help you omit the syrup. If you use both the glaze and the syrup there will be zero judgement coming from me. Do you, gurrrrl.
Grab the french toast sweet cream glaze recipe below and be sure to bookmark on Pinterest to reference for the next long weekend.
This recipe requires only 2 ingredients and both you probably have already on hand.
Combine 2 tbsp of International Delight Sweet Cream (best creamer ever) and 4-6 tbsp of confectioners sugar. Stir until the mixture is well blended with no lumps and drizzle over your french toast! The sweetness is perfect, but not too much and you can omit the syrup if you like. I skipped the syrup this time and the glaze was all that was needed.
If you haven’t tried Sweet Cream yet you must. I swear by this coffee creamer and have used it in several dessert and breakfast recipes too. The husband and I take stock in this coffee creamer.
