Chocolate and brownies are two items that you’ll find in my home at all times. My husband might be brownies biggest fan. I’m more of a fruit filled dessert kinda gal… have you ever had dump cake? You must. From time to time I make sure that our two favorites meet. You simply can’t go wrong with chocolate and fruit recipes.
I’ve teamed up with Dove® Fruit for this recipe and I have to say I’m blown away by their newest product, whole cranberries dipped in dark chocolate. The goal was to simply bake with this delicious real fruit snack but it was impossible to not eat them by the handful. I might have a bag full in my purse. Yes, they are that good. Plus, dark chocolate + fruit is the better for you option when it comes to snacking on sweet treats.
This recipe is simple. You’ll love it.
Let’s go shopping for ingredients! (Grab the full recipe details below)
If you’re anything like my family you’ll head to Sam’s Club with a list in hand, make a pit stop at the snack bar first and take your time exploring the store. Dove® Fruit can be found at Sam’s Club with limited availability so make sure to be on the lookout. Later this year Dove® Fruit will release a Whole Cherry version of this delicious snack and I can’t wait. I see a cherry dark chocolate holiday recipe in my future.
Cranberry Dark Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients: Your favorite brownie recipe OR boxed brownies and Dove® Fruit
Prepare your traditional brownies. I have a go-to recipe for basic brownies but using store bought brownie mix works too. Take 1/3 cup of dry brownie mixture and place it to the side. Chop up 10-15 Dove® Fruit cranberry snack bites into small pieces. Combine the 1/3 cup of dry mix with your chopped dark chocolate cranberries then add them into your wet brownie mixture. This process allows the dark chocolate cranberries to stay in the mixture and not fall to the bottom of the baking dish. Bake as instructed and serve.
