Just two short weeks ago I had the amazing opportunity to style a table for a local Operation Shower. I shared a little sneak peek prior to the event and today I’m so excited to share my table design. To learn more about the organziation and to get involved visit their website.
“Operation Shower is about celebrating and honoring military families. Operation Shower is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides joyful baby showers for military families to ease the burden of deployment.”
We were given a nautical theme and printables designed by the lovely Kori Clark of Paper and Pigtails (learn more about her awesomeness here in her blogger interview). I’ve been eager to do a little nautical styling so I was pretty stoked about this.
Decor Details: I kept the decor minimal and hit the jackpot at a recent visit to TJ Maxx. From rope to mini sail boats to mini wood airplanes, I found it all there! The adorable anchor favor boxes were sent my way from Pamela Smerker Designs. I had a great time using the chevron and red striped fabric provided by Carousel Designs. I covered styrofoam squares with the chevron fabric to add some height to the table and also attached them to the chairs as decorative backs. Fresh flowers are always a must in my book and helped to add an additional pop of red. Covering all aspects of the military I framed a printable that listed all the military branches and made sure to include airplane touches by wrapping a vase with a beige and white airplane printable.
